Weatherization Seeks Clients

Neighborhood Housing Services of South Buffalo are in a fortuitous position to take on new weatherization clients and get their homes done before the snow flies.
With the diligence and good weather shown this summer, the weatherization program has been able to serve clients quickly and open services up to more clients before the end of the year. Currently accepting applications, NHS of South Buffalo would like to continue to serve those in the Buffalo area.
The Weatherization Assistance Program features an experienced team who can conduct an energy audit and weatherize your home, including weather-stripping and caulking of doors and windows; cleaning, testing, and repairs of heating systems; adding insulation to walls and ceilings; and minor repairs as needed. After weatherization, another inspection will follow to check quality and effectiveness.
The program helps to improve a home so that it stays cool in the summer and warm in the winter. Most of the homes in Buffalo are poorly insulated, and sealing them up can save homeowners hundreds of dollars on their utilities. The programs offered by NHS of South Buffalo are for both homeowners and tenants.
NHS of South Buffalo has provided weatherization assistance to more than 5,100 Buffalo families since 1999. They employ professional, experienced weatherization crews and provide highly rated support for clients. If you would like to begin the application process, please contact the Weatherization Assistance Program office at (716) 837-0071 today or visit the website at www.nhssouthbuffalo.org for more information.
