In the last few weeks, NHS has gone through some changes in the office.
First, we welcomed our new VISTA, Megan, on July 31st. Megan will be here until July next year. Secondly, as of August 17th, our previous year-long VISTA, Heidi, and our summer VISTA, Kelley, ended their service terms with us. We wish them the best of luck and thank them from the bottom of our hearts for all the work they've done for us. They are great young women and we know they’ll be successful in whatever they do.
Megan comes to us having recently finished her Master’s of Sports Administration at Canisius College here in Buffalo. This is her third service with the AmeriCorps program, but first with VISTA. She previously worked with the YMCA in Oswego, NY in 2009 and the Lancaster, NY YMCA in 2011. This year, her main focus will be on advertising our organization and its services, maintaining our website and social media, organizing various classes and workshops, and researching other avenues our organization can explore to continue serving the community. We are excited for the next eleven months with Megan and look forward to her contributions to the organization.
